The link to a game looks something like this: lavichess.com/game/AQUA…. The letters after the slash are the whole game, packed so tightly that a long game fits on one line. That's why there's no need for an account or a database: whoever has the link has the game.
What's on the page
- The game move by move on a board you can step through, and every move written out in standard notation.
- The final position and the dramatic moments: the queen falling, checks, checkmate.
- Which opening was played.
- PGN to copy or download, if you want to study the game in another chess program.
- Buttons to share the game, watch it on the living board or challenge whoever sent it.
Game pages don't show up in search engines. They're for you and the people you send the link to.
