Prices are in US dollars, with any VAT included: the price you see is the price you pay. Your bank may add a fee for paying in dollars. You pay through Stripe, so we never see your card or bank details. The receipt comes from them. Read the terms.

Questions and answers
Do I need Plus to play?
No. All the chess is free: playing, learning and competing. Plus never takes away anything that is free today.
How do I cancel Plus?
On your profile, under Account: tap Receipts, card and cancellation. Plus then lasts until the end of the time you have paid for. A year paid once never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
How do I pay?
With a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or another way of paying shown at checkout, in US dollars. You pay through Stripe, and the receipt comes from them. With a bank transfer or a direct debit, Plus starts when the money has arrived, which can take a few days.
What is a question for the Coach?
A question about a position uses one, a talk-through of a whole game three. Plus gives 60 a month. Without Plus you get three a month to try. How many you have left is on your profile.
Does Plus work on Schackdags too?
Yes. Plus belongs to your profile, and the same profile, with the same player code, works on LaviChess and on Schackdags, our Swedish sister site.
How does the family work?
With Plus Family you can add up to five other profiles to your own, with their player codes, or with one tap if you play on the same device. They all have Plus as long as the family does. The family shares 120 questions for the Coach a month; questions someone buys belong to that profile.
How is my name protected?
As long as you have Plus, and for 30 days after, no one else can take your name on a profile, a leaderboard or a profile page. After that, the same rules apply as for everyone: a name is yours as long as you play. At a table with friends, everyone can call themselves whatever they like.
Who can buy?
The person who pays must be an adult. Plus belongs to a profile, so a parent can buy Plus for their child's profile, or give it as a gift card.
Can I change my mind and get my money back?
Yes, within 14 days, on the Withdraw a purchase page. Plus: you get the whole amount back. A gift card: as long as the code hasn't been redeemed. It's all in the terms.
What do you keep about me?
Only what's needed: which plan the profile has and until when, and an id from Stripe. Only Stripe has your card and the email address your receipt goes to. It's all on the privacy page.
