Lesson 10: The active rook

In rook endgames it isn't only the pawns that count. A rook that attacks, checks and blocks the way is often worth more than a pawn, and a rook that does nothing but defend soon becomes a spectator. Here you see it, and hold a draw a pawn down yourself.
